About  John

John is a Chartered Surveyor with over 47 years direct survey experience. He commenced his career in 1968 at Hampshire County Council gaining wide survey experience whilst attaining technical qualifications. In 1976 he was appointed as the Senior Land Surveyor for the Bermuda Government and advised the Government on survey boundary demarcation matters as and when required. In 1982 John returned to the UK to complete the written examinations to enable him to become a Chartered Surveyor. In 1983 he commenced employment with the Government of Bahrain on a national land inventory project which involved reconciling the title deed boundaries with the ground topographical features. In 1988 he returned to the UK, and since that time has mainly worked for civil and structural engineering consultancies producing surveys which included topographical features to allow for demarcation of the site boundary limits.

John became a Fellow member of the RICS in 1996.

John’s Hobbies and Interests:

Steam traction engines – travelling on the roads as was undertaken in the early 20th Century.

Cycling – along country rights of way and canal towpaths.

Travelling – viewing spectacular sights and historical places of interest.
